The products listed below are approved for use in works to the public water supply in the United Kingdom, at the time of writing, under Regulation 31 (England and Wales), Regulation 33 (Scotland) and Regulation 30 (Northern Ireland).
Approved products have a DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate) reference code, old references may contain 'DETR Approved'.

Concrete repair mortars approved for use in Public Water Supply in the United Kingdom under Regulation 31, 33 and 30, supplied by Arcon.
NatCem 35 is a fast setting concrete repair mortar approved for use in contact with potable water DWI 56/4/1090 and can be used underwater if required. It is a versatile material can be used for a wide variety of purposes including general concrete repairs, tunnel repairs, pipe repairs, benching, jointing and between bricks, blocks and stone. It is suitable for dry, wet, cyclically immersed and fully immersed conditions.
MasterEmaco S420 with MasterSeal 600 is a fast setting high strength repair mortar approved for use with potable water DWI 56/4/1064 subject to testing the installed material for hydrogen ion concentration. Ideal for use where a repair mortar with high compressive strength is required for both reinforced and non-reinforced concrete. It can be used to repair damage from corroding reinforcement bars, impact damage, and reactions to alkali aggregate. The repair will be extremely durable and protect any embedded reinforcement. Each 25kg bag of MasterEmaco S420 is mixed with 20L of MasterSeal 600.
Renderoc Plug 20 is a fast setting cementitious repair mortar, with an initial set time of 20mins, DWI approved for use in drinking water supply systems. For use on horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces. It can be used to pack, patch and plug with emergency water stopping capabilities. Ideal for use on tunnels, pipes, concrete segments, tunnel linings, access chambers, brick and concrete water retaining and water excluding structures.
Waterstop is an ultra fast setting repair mortar specifically designed for water plugging / leak stopping with DWI Regulation 31 approval for use with drinking water supply systems. It can be used to plug live leaks underwater as well as above the water line. At 20°C it begins to set after 90 second and completes setting at approx. 4 minutes. It can be used to repair cracks and holes in floors and walls of water retaining and water excluding structures such as tanks, culverts, pipes, reservoirs etc. Temporary repairs can be even made to cast iron and plastic pipes using Waterstop.

Joint sealing and crack bridging systems approved for use in Public Water Supply in the United Kingdom under Regulation 31, 33 and 30, supplied by Arcon.
MasterSeal 930/MasterSeal 933 MasterSeal 930 elastic strips and MasterSeal 933 adhesive can be used to bridge and seal joints and cracks even when a high degree of movement is anticipated. It is used to waterproof water retaining structures such as water towers, reservoirs, filter beds and tunnels. It is Regulation 31 approved for use in potable water systems. Used on both horizontal and vertical faces, it can adhere to a variety of substrates including brick, metals, blockwork and concrete.
Sikadur Combiflex SG jointing system using elastic strips and Sikadur 31 DW or Sikadur DW Rapid epoxy adhesive. This system is approved for use on drinking water supply structures such as reservoirs, culverts, tunnels, pipelines (including concrete, iron and steel), water retaining tanks. Overbanding old failed or leaking joint sealant is possible with this system, as is jointing between rigid and flexible surfaces. It is a good solution for situations where joints are expected to move in more than one direction, irregularly or more significantly than other joint sealing solution will allow.
NatCem DW is a cement-based fast setting and curing repair mortar with rapid strength gain. Suitable for use in contact with potable water.
Epoxy resin coatings approved for use in Public Water Supply in the United Kingdom under Regulation 31, 33 and 30, supplied by Arcon.
Sikagard 62 is a high-build epoxy resin coating approved for use in Public Water Supply in the United Kingdom ref DWI 56/4/197. It is an abrasion resistant impervious coating with good protective resistance. Available in grey or light green.
Polyurethane resin coatings approved for use in Public Water Supply in the United Kingdom under Regulation 31, 33 and 30, supplied by Arcon.
MasterSeal M808 - an elastic polyurethane resin waterproof membrane coating for use with potable water containing / retaining structures such as water tanks, water towers, steel and concrete pipes. It can be used externally, internally, on horizontal and vertical surfaces, it can also be used to protect reinforced concrete from carbonation and corrosion. Elastic, flexible and crack bridging.
Cementitious coatings approved for use in Public Water Supply in the United Kingdom under Regulation 31, 33 and 30, supplied by Arcon.
Nitocote CM210 - can be applied to brick, block and concrete surfaces to provide an elastic cementitious waterproof coating that has approval to be used in situations in contact with potable water.
NatCem AC - can be used as an anti-carbonation coating or render that has DWI Reg 31 approval for use in contact withn potable water, for application in thicknesses of 3mm to 20mm.
MasterSeal 581 - a cementitious waterproofing tanking slurry coating applied to reservoirs, tunnels, concrete pipes and many other concrete or masonry above and below ground structures. It can be mixed with MasterSeal600 for enhanced durability and waterproofing. Formerly known as Thoroseal.
MasterSeal 588 a cement-based elastomeric coating, formerly Thoroseal FX100, with Reg 31 DWI approval. It cures to form an elastic waterproofing membrane capable of accommodating movement, settlement and vibration in structures. It can be used in both positive and negative water pressure situations, for both internal and external uses. Masterseal 588 can be applied to water retaining structures, bridges, piers, stanchions, columns.
MasterSeal 586 with MasterSeal600 - a trowel applied render / fairing coat used for waterproofing concrete and masonry structures above and below ground. It provides an extremely durable smooth finish.
Sikatop-Seal 107 - a cementitious waterproofing tanking slurry that can be used for the waterproofing of drinking water reservoirs. It can be hand or spay applied, to protect concrete from water penetration and carbonation.
NatCem AC is safe for use in potable water supply systems, it has low shrinkage characteristics and can be used to fill voids.
NatCem D can be used for void filling and soil stabilisation grouting in contact with potable water. It can be used in dry, wet and underwater situations. It has a fine particle size to achieve good penetration and can even be injected into artesian water bearing strata since it contains no substances that can leach into the aquifer.

SikaCem-133S Gunite is a cement-based polymer modified dry-sprayed micro repair mortar that meets the requirements of Class R4 of BS EN 1504-3. It is suitable for use on tunnels, bridges and other marine structures.
Shotcrete 513 is a natural cement-based dry spray concrete, which exhibits rapid strength gain and is fast-setting. It can be used for repairs to dams, tunnels, pipes, viaducts, and potable water retaining / containing structures.
Sika MonoTop 612 - wet sprayed fibre-reinforced high strength repair mortar with excellent workability and slump resistance. It is ideal for use in overhead and vertical situations. Use Sika MonoTop 610 as a bonding aid.
Sika MonoTop 615 - a high-build cementitious concrete repair mortar that meets the requirements of Class R3 of BS EN 1504-3.
