Cement based grouts with non-shrink characteristics are used for filling and grouting of base plates in steel framed buildings, machinery beds, crane rails, balustrades, bridge bearing pads and dowel bars. They can be used from “dry pack” to highly flowable consistencies without compromising on strength and non -shrink properties.
Higher performance resin non -shrink grouts are available for situations demanding resistance to dynamic loading, vibration and corrosion due to harsh environments and chemical attack. They are ideally suited for machinery anchoring and bedding in the automotive and canning industries.

The type of grout chosen for grouting a baseplate will depend upon the magnitude of the load to be transfered (i.e. the required compressive strength), the depth of gap to be grouted, access, area and flow requirements. In most instances the load will be static and a cementitious grout will be sufficient.

The type of grout chosen for grouting a bolt hole or anchor will depend upon whether it is vertical, horizontal or inverted, the annulus, depth, pull-out force, fast-set/early strength gain requirements and whether it will be subject to vibration.
The method for repairing cracks to concrete will largely depend upon the width and depth of crack, as well as whether the concrete experiences vibration. Repair mortars can be used on the widest, followed by flowable grouts. Fine cracks can be filled with injection resins. Wind turbines create some of the most extreme demands of any grouting application.
